- Expunging/Appealing -

In this thread, you can request upvotes/downvotes on expunge petitions.

For wrongfully expunged galleries, please initiate an appeal petition yourself and request assistance over here.

To appeal expunge petitions that have been activated for more than 7 days, request assistance from a veto holder.

- Reverting/Splitting -

Reversion should be requested for galleries whose updates solely removed legitimate content from a gallery (e.g. replacing a gallery with a white page). Please do not expunge these galleries. If valid content was simultaneously added during such updates the gallery may be subject to replacement expunging by another uploader.

Gallery chain split should be requested when an uploader overwrites a gallery with other irrelevant content, assuming that both iterations can be considered as valid galleries on their own. All ≥10MP tags will be copied from the original chain to the split gallery by default. You must specify in your report if the original tags should not be copied to the split gallery. In both instances, the original chain retains its tags.

Procedure for submitting reversion/split requests:
1) Visit the version of the gallery to be reverted back to (not the inferior version).
2) Press "Report Gallery" and scroll down.
3) Select the "Reversion/Split/Undisown Request" option from the drop-down menu.
4) Put in your e-mail address.
5) Type "Revert" / "Split *Gallery IDs* " and briefly state why the gallery should be reverted/split in the "Report Details" box.
6) Send the report.

You are encouraged to document your reversion requests over here. Notifying the community will help to prevent redundant requests from being submitted.

- Excessive Updates/Bumping -

A gallery updated more than twice per 30 days (a.k.a. excessive bumping) should be reported as "Excessive Updates" to have the gallery temporarily locked from updates.

However, some exceptions exist:

• Any valid additions to artist-specific galleries, ongoing comics / cg sets, or ongoing translation projects. These must be based on what is released by the artist / translator.
• Any changes for fixing an expungeable gallery (e.g. removing forbidden images).

Note that replacement galleries that aim to bypass the update lock can still be expunged as "duplicate".

- Undisowning -

Accidentally disowned galleries can have their ownership requested back using the "Reversion/Split/Undisown Request" report option. This can only be done by the uploader who disowned a gallery, attempting to take ownership of another uploaders disowned gallery won't be accepted.

Procedure for undisown requests:
1) Visit the disowned gallery.
2) Press "Report Gallery" and scroll down.
3) Select the "Reversion/Split/Undisown Request" option from the drop-down menu.
4) Put in your e-mail address.
5) Enter the details/reason for the request.
6) Send the report.

Tenboro has a tendon injury and I'd rather not leave it to the boss to micro-manage such galleries.
Imagesets are more prevalent. Especially in these cases where the uploaders have little-to-no actual concern over the quality of their galleries, expunging them rather than having someone higher-up deal with each case is a better method.
A big red "EXPUNGED" notification is more noticeable than a stealth update on a gallery.

Not to mention that those images make up a significant portion of some galleries listed there.

I looked at those galleries and I beg to differ on that all those pics you listed make a significant portion of those galleries.

As for your statement that they should be expunged just because you disagree with what was sited is in error. While yes, it can be revisited, that is still the ruling. SO follow it.

In cases like this, unless the majority of the gallery is DNP content then it probably should not be expunged, but left to the regular DMCA process. (confirmed with admin)

I can't say for the administration myself, so you’ll have to poke at the boss for a follow-up.

What I can assure you however, is that when there is active ruling against *action A*, then you shouldn't pull an *action A* at your own discretion.

I'd attribute that to vagueness more than anything.

4/24 and 2/10, for example, seem to me like very significant portions of a gallery especially considering that it's forbidden content.

I don't mind if that's the way it is.
However, consider that in all cases where forbidden content from DNP artists makes up only a portion of content is in imagesets,
Letting small cases slip by just encourages lazy uploading.

Reporting in such a case means that Tenb would go manually (probably semi-manually) through the gallery and kill the offending pictures. Quite a lot of work and a waste of time to be fair.

I'd argue that the distinction on reporting versus expunging should be: if the gallery has content of value (yes, I'm being purposely vague and leaving to the opinion of the reader) then reporting the offending images is worth it. Otherwise expunge the entire thing.

If there many (majority) DNP pictures; the onus of cleaning it up and filling a DMCA is on the copyright holder. We should still expunge it so it does not stay on the page listing - just like full DNP galleries.

Blatant Saltcutlet abuse of imageset rules to dump multiple galleries of the same content within the same day. If you look at imagesets you will inevitably see multiples of these in a row. They're not even at the 2000 image limit.

I'm sure this is some kind of scheme to evade gallery clone time limits, because these galleries just so happen to be of the same characters. None of these have artists listed so they're not even useful as gallery archives.
Again, really interesting to chase after expunging people who separate Patreon monthly rewards while at the same time doing this.

If they aren't artist imagesets, not compilations, not exact dupes of other galleries, and not containing forbidden content, I can't see any rules being broken, and don't believe these can be expunged (note: I haven't looked into them all)

I personally agree that uploading like this is wrong on all levels and anyone who cares about the site or about the users viewing the content shouldn't be doing it though, particularly galleries not even close to gallery limits as "part 1" "part 2" etc with the same subject.

Taking into account of the visits each of those galleries receive, then enough people find it "useful." Far more than most galleries, actually.
I, personally, do not find it that useful.

A ruling exists for such content.
There is none for this. That can be changed.
