Anyone have any super over-the-top, climax-y fonts? Stuff like the bottom of http://ehentaihip.com/s/62c00a2e9c/921802-10? Or http://ehentaihip.com/s/a94dc1e6da/921802-11? I get that part of it is just the size and drop shadow effects, but while I was able to pick up a bunch of smaller-scale moan sfx, more sadistic shouts and moans, basic dialogue and a few other fonts from other threads here, I'd like to grab some moneyshot-specific ones. Looking to specifically edit that the jap source of that guy's stuff due to the somewhat lacking editing/grammar job done by the original translator, but those things specifically are rather quality and I'd like to know useful tools to achieve similar effect in my work going forward. Try Blambot Pro or CCShoutoutAlt. Both have a comic-like sharpie style to them.

Blambot's very helpful, thanks. The whole shoutout family's paywalled everywhere I check, unfortunately - shame, too, the heavier versions look cash.

QUOTE(Super Shanko @ May 14 2016, 19:59) you are a king among kings, a champion of the people, an exemplary specimen of the human spirit. (thanks mate) E; so long as I'm here might as well push my luck; I'm having fun playing around and got a decent handle on the basics and cheesing my way around un-bubbled jap text, turned [ i.imgur.com] THIS into [ i.imgur.com] THIS, but I couldn't manage to figure out how to pull toned text/dropshadows off, like in the lower right of the jap raw. The original scanlator managed to pull it off too, and I want in on the party; I'm using paint.net instead of Photoshop simply due to familiarity (poking into photoshop occasionally), but I generally find there's always a very similar method in paint through a plugin or whatnot, so any methods regardless of applications would be appreciated. Tried a couple things myself, like sampling the tone and repeating the pattern in the shadow, messing around with the drop shadow function (heck, maybe it's built-in to the photoshop version, I don't know), applying various halftone effects, but nothing looked right. Oh, that? I'm going to use Photoshop lingo here so bear with me. What you'll want to do is to use the marquee tool to select a chunk of similar patterned pixels as the original and Define/Save Pattern. After that put your main font down with a copy underneath to double as its Drop Shadow. Once they're in place, add the effect Pattern Overlay to the faux shadow font underneath and there you go.

I think that the English hentai community needs to do a better job with spreading the praise we give to the people who do projects from just the translator to the editor and the people who QC it. Yes, translating is a skill, but so are editing and checking other people's work.
For example, I see comments on galleries calling the translator a god when I know for a fact that the editor almost certainly spent magnitudes more time and effort and that just makes people bitter. (That's actually probably true of everything but wall of text projects or the simplest of editing projects, but some are particularly bad for the editor.)

And you're ranting about this here because...? (Sorry your rant just doesn't seem relevant to this thread)

I'm not allowed to discuss editing concerns (motivation) in the Editor's Water cooler? What do you think people talk about around water coolers? It sure as fuck isn't actual work.

Fonts are a perfect example of how people don't respect the work of editors. If you're not using comic sans or mouthbreather, 99% of people won't care or comment when you go above and beyond to do an amazing job typesetting. (often putting more work into it than the artist did originally)

True, the artist usually uses only like 2 fonts 1 for normal talking and another for moans

I personally have 17 different heart shape fonts and I hate myself every time I go looking for more.

One case that got me into my nerves was a comment "I couldn't differentiate who's talking" and I was like, "Really?" (Facepalm) Since then I've been using different fonts for each person talking. Like person A has a designated font and so on

That can be an issue in CGs without text bubbles if they don't differentiate by text color, but in a paneled work? Think with the head attached to your neck.

Some people probably read without processing and comprehending the information, I guess (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Hi guys, New guy here (but long time lurker) and I wanted to try editing some stuff. I could really use some feedback on this page I tried editing. [ www.dropbox.com] https://www.dropbox.com/s/ticeaucqkgmh2wv/page%203.png?dl=0Thanks! Edit: It looked like the page was pretty well scanned IMO so I just adjusted the white/black levels, straightened the page, cropped, adjusted picture size (to original dimensions), and added (internal) dialogue and sfx. The posted script did not include sfx so I checked the most common one in the picture and added a translation. This post has been edited by raptorcut: Aug 29 2016, 10:40

Could someone tell me how I can rotate a "Heart" Symbol? Also how can I make the "Heart" symbol come out in the same text font as what I'm writing?
Edit: Found out how to rotate the shape. Still looking for how to change the shape into the desired font.
