Ok A large list of tutorials for the community to share, view, review and continue to add to. I have been building this list sporadically for a few years. Every time I have to look something up and I like the tutorials I find, I book mark them and eventually try to organize them.

Some of the links may no longer be active, or may have changed, but it would be quite a task to go and check them all again, and I'm a procrastinator, so yeah.

Not all of the tutorials are just for drawing. Since I am a media artist who dabbles in just everything from Sculpting, to 3D artist I collect tutorials from everything!

I really encourage the Community to really contribute to this list. The best thing is for the list to grow to continue to help other aspiring artist. So I look forward to seeing you all in here and learning.

This isn't my complete list, but pretty much the only one I got organized.

I don't discriminate where the tutorials come from, be it Deviant Art, YouTube, Google Lists, where ever. As long as it gives me what I want, I tend to save it and use it.

So Come on guys. Give it your best and lets get this list growing.

@Abrion
Um. I think the colors your looking at are a bit desaturated. So choose a little more gray in your colors, or just color it and just desaturate it with the colors panel (CTRL+U)

Blah, I’ve been swamped with nonstop commissions and ish, so it’s hard to get around to here lately. Anyway, gonna at least try and create those tutorials I mentioned a while back, starting with one on inking and line weight for those of you that CANT afford a good tab.

forgot to post this one...

this is how to knock out a full render with a mouse in maybe an hour or two....

again it's on video since my literary exp would go something like.
1. throw in a bg color
2. throw down vauge solid shaped blobs of you subject, noting negative space.
3. draw the damn picture.

anyway, vids are much better....

okay since this sections should be the appropriate for asking this
I put the base color on the 1st layer than copy it to the new layer and changed the HSV to made it colors for shade and then erase it
Attached Image
now my questions is
do I have to blur the 2 tones or leave it just like it should be?
Attached Image
since if I blur it to blend the 2 tones, the blurry part is just not quite look good

Don't use the blur tools to blend the colors. Most of the time it'll look artificial and hastily made. Instead, try using the quickdropper tool and a soft-edged, low-opacity/flow brush for blending the two colors.

hmm
that's explains the lame blend result that I usually have when using the blur tools, gotta make some custom brushes then

That image only talks about doing blind contour drawing, which does not help with gesture drawing, and talks about avoiding snobs.

p.s. - his gestures look like an overly detailed mess of noodles
