I just rewired an old parallel-type joystick to communicate via Bluetooth. Now all I need is something to operate with it.
Edit: Forgot the obligatory attachment.

I wonder if they have permission from respective DLL owners to redistribute those...

When was your computer bought and/or made, nig-nog? We'll need to know if it can handle PCIe 2.0, PCIe, regular PCI or AGP.

Can anyone recommend a small desktop case? One that can be hauled around a little easier than a full-size, or put into duffelbag? Are there any disadvantages to a small case? Heating, modularity, that kind of thing?

My stupid mouse stops working sometimes and I have to unplug it and then plug it back in. Sometimes it works fine and other times it's really bad, like right now. I've read up about that problem and tried everything but nothing seems to fix it. Fucker.

MicroATX form factor cases would work well for what you want. Anything smaller than that and your venting and cooling will be compromised. If you get a MicroATX, you'll also want a modular power supply, and I wouldn't recommend using it as a gaming rig unless you can find a reliable low-form, low-power video card. In fact, I've seen some cases with handles on them, as well. [ www.newegg.com] Take a peek. Sounds to me like the USB port is dying. If it does this in all the ports on that bay, then the entire USB bay is dying. Not much you can do about that except attempt to get it repaired or replace your laptop.

A few years. Someone gave it to me and it was in really good condition but it's had a lot of use since then. I think it might have a short in the wire but I don't know. What's the lifespan of a mouse, btw? QUOTE(radixius @ Jan 14 2011, 07:10) Sounds to me like the USB port is dying. If it does this in all the ports on that bay, then the entire USB bay is dying. It only works in one port. I found another mouse right now and plugged it in so I'm giving that a try. This mouse works in one of the other ports where the original mouse didn't work. I have a computer I bought off my friend that I need to hook up in case my laptop dies but I need to get a monitor for it. I'm surprised this laptop has lasted as long as it has. True fact: 90% of those people are psychos talking to themselves. The ear-piece is just camouflage.

Did I ever tell everyone here how much I hate Java? Because I dislike Java more than I dislike French Canadians.

You did. And I hate it too. jDownload doing nothing takes more CPU time and memory than Handbrake encoding a video to MKV on my Mac.
