Complaints about galleries being wrongfully expunged are usually wrong and typically remain expunged, but that doesn't stop people from complaining about them anyway. There might as well be a thread specifically for this kind of complaint, maybe it will help stem the tide of people making new threads to complain about them. Who knows? Maybe it'll turn out that legitimate cases of wrongful expunges will be brought up here on occasion.

Here are some things you should check before posting here.

1. Check the expunge log to see the comments. It's often the reason will be there and it'll save you the trouble of having to complain about it.
2. Check this thread for the expunge guidelines and see if you can find it yourself.
3. Was the gallery expunged as garbage? Did it have fewer than 8 pictures in it? That is a major reason why something is expunged as garbage.
4. Is it your gallery? Is the gallery no longer appearing in your Manage Galleries Screen? Expunged galleries will still show up there as Expunged, so if you can't find it at all, it's likely been moved to the fjords. Check here for details.
5. Does the gallery give you the message This gallery is pining for the fjords? If so it has not been expunged, but moved to the fjords. Check here for details.
6. Did the gallery contain pictures of real people who are not Asian, or pictures of Asians who are not nude? The gallery was likely expunged as part of the recent ban on real porn and there is nothing that can be done about it.

If you have checked all this, and you still believe the gallery has been expunged wrongfully, you may complain about it here. Keep in mind that being garbage expunges are open for interpretation and votes to expunge as garbage have half power, so if it was expunged as garbage it is likely nothing can be done about it. If you still want to complain about it, that's your business, but keep in mind this isn't a thread for discussing rules but for reporting wrongful expunges.

The raw version has been deleted by the uploader. If anyone wants some Credits (and there isn't a better raw version of it in Galleries - I didn't look), re-up it.

I don't understand your post otherwise, it looks like nothing's expunged in this case, there's just a 7% vote on English one, unlikely to get to 100% before it expires.

Yes, but it annoys me when idiots try to expunge for incorrect reasons, so I felt like posting about it.

It's fine to report an active attempt as long as it will be a bad expunge, and not just a "I don't understand why so, it must be bad" complaint.

It does contain a large amount of pics from the gallery linked to in the Expunge log, but not all of them (only ones relevant to Ninety Nine Nights) and I've included pics from another gallery AS WELL AS pics that aren't in either N3 gallery on EHentai. I ask that it is reconsidered for being Expunged.....I hate this bold red letters. Thanks in advance

I ULed chapter 17 first, then 2nd uploader simply added it to his compilation of ch10-16 to become a compilation of ch10-17.
Does that count as 'complete' when its not a full tankobon volume yet?

If I'd known my UL was gonna get expunged under replacement rules when the other uploader simply added it 2nd to their compilation, I'd have downloaded their ch 10-16, added ch 17 and uled as a compilation of ch10-17... But no... instead I left the ch10-16 compilation alone and Uled ch 17 as a standalone... and this is what I get... Is that really how replacement expunges are supposed to work? the chapter 17 the 2nd uploader added is exactly the same as mine, and mine was first,they just added theirs to an existing compilation that does not make a full tankobon yet.

One of my other galleries should 'replace' it as more 'complete'

Chapters of same tankoubon translated by the same translator/group can be comined to make more complete galleries. Chapters made by different translators/groups can't - such galleries are expunged as comiplations.

Exception: when it's clear one group stopped translating and won't continue, and another group picked up after it and completed the translation of the whole tank, it's permissible to upload this as one gallery. This requires more knowledge on various groups, reading their blogs etc. and thus in my opinion should be reported in gallery description and in Re-Up thread just after uploading, with a clear reason.

Also, if you're the translator, galleries uploaded by you are exempt from expunge even when dupes, but don't cause replacements of earlier uploaded galleries. If you're a translator, make sure to say that in gallery description to prevent uninformed expunging.

In this case all chapters are by Soba-scans, and so replacement seem valid. If tank is not complete, just update your expunged gallery with ch 18 first, when it comes out (and report it to Re-Up), and the 10-17 gallery will be replaced.

The apparent lesson: replace someone else's gallery when you have the opportunity instead of leaving it alone or it'll happen to you...

Afaik in Western category compilations are permissible, because imagesets with Western pics go there. So it is wrongfully expunged.

so my gallery gets expunged and the other gallery gets to stay just because it has 1 story that is contained in my gallery? how about i just delete the small stories from my gallery or better yet expunge the other galleries instead since the stories in mine are more up to date. Plus I tried to make it a full collection and those small stories belong in the collection otherwise it wouldn't be called a collection. Try not to them think of them as a stories, the little boxes in the comics can each count as an individual pic but with captions on it.

I think that if you remove all the stories from your set, this won't happen again.

Ah, sorry, I didn't notice that it had more than one full story in it; thought it was basically an imageset.

If you don't want it to be expunged, I think it would be best if you uploaded each story (that's not already uploaded) separately (and named the gallery with a story name; if the story has multiple chapters, they can, afaik, all go into the same gallery), and then uploaded all the rest of the images in a separate gallery. You can connect the galleries with links in galleries description.
