Hello there. I was browsing this forum and saw others promoting their skills, so I thought why not put up an advertisement of my own as well.I'm a freelance letterer/typesetter with a couple years of experience under their belt, and I'm always looking for some work.
Do note that I don't do any translations or decensoring, I just take a translated script and do the lettering.
Here's a brief introduction regarding my services:
What kind of stuff have you worked on in the past? Do you have an example?
I've worked with quite a few scanlators and groups on panda, specializing in both English and Chinese translated works. For the former, you can see some samples here [A B C]; and for the latter, here [1 2 3]. What is your quality standard and turnaround time?
At the minimum you can expect a well-edited comic with all speech bubbles properly cleaned and lettered (including sound effects in bubbles if you wish), proper varied fonts matching the original raw's style, and fully handwritten sound effects/text matching the original style.
This is what you should expect from all of my works.
As for the turnaround time - for a standard comic of ~30 pages with an average number of speech bubbles and no extraordinarily weird effects, you can usually expect the whole process to take no more than 3 days from start to finish. I consider myself to be a relatively fast worker.
(Do keep in mind that this number is just a general statement, and it can obviously vary depending on the specific book. I may also not be able to work on your request right away if I'm preoccupied with other work.)
What are your quotes and how do I pay you?
Generally, my quotes can vary from $0.8~$2 per page depending on your request. For most comics that don't have too much bubbles/background that needs cleaning and lettering, my quote would usually be around the $1/page mark. This is just a quote for comics, and stuff like imagesets and CGs can have different quotes. Obviously, if the workload increases, so does the quote.
As a rule of thumb - I charge based on time, so the longer a page takes for me to edit/typeset, the more I'd charge for it. (If your request just happens to strike my fancy though, I will offer you a discount!)
As for payment methods, I would very much prefer payments in USDT (BTC and XMR are acceptable as well). I use cryptocurrency because my region is unfortunately under heavy financial sanctions, as well as the fact that crypto provides a bit more privacy than a plain bank transfer. If you really want to pay using something like paypal, I can try to work it out, but it'll be a bit difficult.
Are there any "sensitive" genres that you don't work on?
The only type of stuff that I don't want to work on is poorly translated or even machine translated content.
Do note however - if your requests are too difficult/time consuming for me to handle (such as cleaning and redrawing every single sound effect - even those outside of speech bubbles, or cleaning extremely large areas of background obscured by raw text), I may have to reject your request or give you a staggeringly high quote.
Otherwise, there's nothing specific that I wouldn't want to work on. It can be any genre, and any format (short doujinshi, tanks, imagesets, etc), as long as the price is right.
How do I contact you? And what do I need to prepare if I want to commission something?
You can send me a direct message right here in the forums, or email me at [email protected] . Just provide me with the raws of the work you want translated, and a well-formatted translation script.
I will quote every request individually, as well as provide a rough ETA of how long I should be able to complete the job. You will need to pay upfront, and then I can start working on your request.
Hello, are you still available for work right now at X time?
Yes, always - unless this message right here states otherwise. Just send me a message.
Looking forward to working with you. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)
