  • Tag grouping request on any fetish/content tag (e.g., adding slave tags to "nakadashi") should be posted in the General tag discussion thread.
‎For tag slaving/aliasing requests, make sure the master tag already exists and is approved before posting here.‎
Here you may submit tag grouping requests for artists, circles (groups), cosplayers, parodies, and characters, such as:
  • Slaving existing tag to another master tag, OR creating new slave tag(s) for a master tag
  • Renaming an existing tag
  • Set an alias for a master tag
  • Block an unacceptable tag
  • Reject a bad request on the Tag Approval Tracker

General Guidelines:
  • Requests can only contain alphanumeric characters, "." (dot) and "-" (dash) symbols.
  • Any character requests need to be in the order of Western name convention; given name, middle name, surname.
  • No more than 10 requests per day are allowed, longer lists make them harder to process.
  • Double-check if the tag already exists before requesting. Using the search function in My Tags may facilitate this. If that is the case, you must indicate clearly in your post.
  • Every request entry requires a valid source to be approved. Please read this article carefully for what is considered a good source.
  • All requests, with the exception of tag blocking requests where the tag does not exist on any public gallery, require a gallery linked.
  • The moderation team reserves the right to skip an entire post should they identify excessive mistakes made in a single post.

Tag Slaving:
  • DO NOT create a tag intended to be slaved to another. You may request a tag grouper to create it here.
  • Tags may be slaved to another tag if they are synonymous, for example, if an artist writes his name in two different ways, or slaving a localization of a character tag to the original Japanese version.
  • Very common names that may be used across other tags in the same namespace should not be requested to be slaved (e.g., John, Mary, etc).
    • If it is already created, but in all cases a more specific tag exists, it may be requested to be blocked instead, once it has been killed on all galleries.
  • Only request slaves for tags that are likely be searched for/tagged. For example, there is no need to request a slave of every social media handle an artist uses if the artist isn't known by them.
  • Slave requests where both tags are already namespaced require proof that they relate to the same thing, and that no tagged gallery is for an unrelated party sharing the name.
  • Suggested format of a slave request:

Tag Aliasing:
  • DO NOT create a tag intended to be aliased to another. You may request a tag grouper to create it here.
  • Each tag can have an alias assigned to it. Aliases are visible when on a gallery, as tag | alias. All aliased tags are also slave tags.
  • Very common names that may be used across other tags in the same namespace should not be requested to be slaved (e.g., John, Mary, etc).
    • If it is already created, but in all cases a more specific tag exists, it may be requested to be blocked instead, once it has been killed on all galleries.
  • Only request well-known aliases that may help people identify a tag.
    • It is fine to request aliases for localization of character/parody tags in all cases where it is not too common a name.
    • There may be only one alias per tag. Not all tags require an alias.
  • Suggested format of an alias request:

Tag Renaming:
  • Tag masters can be permanently renamed if there is good reason to do so. This function is also known as "tag swapping" internally.
  • Please refrain from requesting changes to fetish/content tag names here. These need to be handled much more carefully.
  • ONLY submit a rename request when this is a very good reason to do so. For instance, a rename request can be approved when:
    • The current tag name has a typo or violates the standard tag name convention (e.g., character name not in Western order)
    • An artist/circle/cosplayer has changed their name. This usually will be bundled with an aliasing action on the old name.
    • etc etc...
  • Suggested format for a rename request:
    QUOTE
    Please rename:
    namespace:oldname --> namespace:newname
    *gallery*
    *sources*

Tag Blocking:
  • You may ask for an unacceptable tag to be blocked here. Examples of a blockable tag include:
    • Writer tags
    • Software tags
    • Typos
    • Fetish tag added without prior approval
  • Blocked tags can no longer be voted on by other users. The autotagger will purge all existing blocked tags within 24 hours.
  • Suggested format of a block request:
    QUOTE
    Please block:
    namespace:tagname
    *gallery*
    *justification*
