NEW!I can be contacted on Discord! My id is jo.to or Jo.To#5383Regarding Yahoo! AuctionsOnly if the item has a buyout price, or if it doesn't have a lot of bidders
URGENT!!!If you're using Yahoo! Auctions via Buyee to search any adult-related items, you can no longer do that, as everything comes up error 404! You will have to use a site like Hoyoyo or Neokyo now to search any adult-related items in their unedited images for adult products
All future Comiket eventsQUOTE
Although every Comiket is a 2-day event, doesn't mean online is. A minority (although still a lot) of doujins will be available in the major places, but there is still a majority of them that will be stuck in pre-release purgatory. Those still pre-released can stay that way until the next day, week....even a month (and some even more than that), unlike Summerket where you can expect tons of doujins in-stock within just days. There's also Golden Week in the first week of Japan, thus delaying things longer...
tl;dr = If you're commissioning me, and are dying to see scans "now" than "way later", start with the doujins with カート (Melonbooks) or 在庫あり (Toranoana) as those indicate the doujin is out and in-stock now.
Mandarake you may have to wait a few days before they start stocking on SOME C10* stuff but do realize unlike Melo/Tora this is a second-hand site (w/ any store locations) and do expect some on very limited stock, high-ass prices, or both.
I can commission from these sites (ones in bold ships Internationally:
QUOTE
BOOTH (using White Rabbit)
Doujin-Republic
Yahoo! Auctions (using TreasureJapan, Hoyoyo, Neokyo)
Toranoana
Suruga-ya (using middleman services)
Melonbooks (using middleman services)
Getchu (using middleman services)
Mandarake stores
Akicomi (using TreasureJapan)
Some news about above storesQUOTE
Melonbooks sometimes have a long delay that they'll only ship out domestically to a forwarding/proxy service 10-15 days after the initial order was placed in.
Same thing with Suruga-ya but longer (it is a site with many store locations + third-rate stores located nationally.
What I use/Years of experience:
QUOTE
EPSON v600 (the only good one out there), also v550 and v37 as backups
Started scanning since mid 2011 - current
How to commission me through:
QUOTE
Toranoana - You give me your list and I put the order in. I have to wait several days until your books arrive at their warehouse, and only then once I get the invoice is where you send me the full amount of $$$ (for books, shipping, and commission).
Suruga-ya and Melonbooks - You give me your list and I check out how much the entire order your stuff will be. You then send me $$$ to pay for your books, taxes, and commission. I have to wait somewhere between 10-15 days for Melonbooks (or even longer because of Comiket) or 3-4 weeks for Suruga-ya (because they have SO MANY stores) before they send me the shipping invoice. Once I get that and show it to you, you pay the shipping costs.
BOOTH - same as above
Mandarake - It's been a while since I shopped there, and just like Suruga-ya, it's divided into many stores. You give me your order and I check out how much the entire order your stuff will be. Do mind that if it's a lot of stuff but is divided to several stores, and even though they now accept Amazon Pay, I can only order one store at a time. Once I check out your entire order, you send me $$$ for books+shipping+taxes per store.
I won't know how much the commission fee is because I would have to check to see how many pages are per book when it arrives at my house.
** SOME NEWS ABOUT MANDARAKE: There are 8(?) stores to choose from online, each with their own stuff. The Sahdra (main) store is the ONLY ONE that I would need the full payment the same day you commission me for whatever you want from there. Once paid, they usually would ship out the next day.
All the other stores (Umeda for example) take a period of 3-5 days before sending the invoice to pay.
Doujin-Republic - This is the only one where all you have to do is just send me $$$ for books and $10 for their priority shipping, and they do the rest.
Yahoo!Auctions (through Neokyo (since Buyee fucking killed the Adult section) -
PART 1A. If it is an item that has a Buy Now price, send that money to me instead of the Auction Price. If the item only has just an Auction price, it's best to send whether price that is and maybe a few more bucks to help shave off the competition from other buyers. This part is also where I charge you for my commission [the # of pages for each item x .25 for doujins/.10 for mangas].
If we didn't win said item(s), they will still keep that part of the money that will help shave off the final shipping costs.
PART 1B. Yahoo!Auctions work differently in terms of commission fee over marketplaces like Akicomi or Melonbooks. Where those places only charge a commission fee for the entire order, Yahoo!Auctions charge commission fee for every item per seller, and domestic shipping for each seller. This part will be added along with the invoice from whether deputy service I use for shipping from Japan to me.
PART 2. Once I get the invoice from the deputy service/middleman, that is when you send me the money for the shipping costs, as well as the total commission costs from Yahoo!Auctions.
Akicomi - Same description as Melonbooks. They have very little doujins out there but half of them you can't find anywhere, even in Surugaya or Mandarake. In order to view their images if they're blurred out, you have to register!!!
Commission fees:
QUOTE
Since I am the one scanning, and cleaning, and uploading, I do consider this work, and should get something out of it, so yeah...
25 cents per page for doujins : i.e .25 x 26 = $6.50
10 cents per page for tanks : i.e .10 x 200 = $20.00
50 cents per page for artbooks : .50 x 40 = $20.00
What I can scan:
QUOTE
Basically anything that's not in the prohibited content section
Any commercial/licensed manga (no magazines, though...I don't want to go through the last time I spent so much work doing that and had about 50 or so tanks backed up)
Banned/Prohibited content:
QUOTE
Futa x Male
Yaoi/BL/hard gay (unless it's a commercial/licensed work)
Guro (unless it's a commercial/licensed work, but also depends on the severity of content)
