Admin




Awards were added for the first season of Isekai, let me know if there's anything missing or weird with this. Note that for this first season, the inventory value was added to persistent directly instead of being included in the 1 million cutoff calculations.


Arenas

- Added two new arenas:
-- Level 400 locked to PFUDUR +50% with a 2x T7 equipment clear bonus
-- Level 500 locked to PFUDOR +100% with a 3x T7 equipment clear bonus and a new title

- Arena round counts were rescaled and now cap at 100. This includes a tweak to the arena monster scaling where you effectively skip the first 25% of arena rounds compared to the old scaling.

- A Dance With Dragons now forces PFUDOR difficulty, and the granted Dovahkiin title now has the same bonuses as Godslayer in addition to the skill. (You don't have to reobtain the title.)

- Low-level arenas now become unavailable as you level up, mostly to prevent needing to show multiple pages of irrelevant challenges and making people feel the need to clear them every day. At level 500, Endgame (level 100) and up will still be available.


Misc

- When crystal or chaos upgrading monsters in the monster lab, you can now do +5 levels by holding shift and +10 levels by holding control. If you do not have sufficient crystals/tokens for all level upgrades, it will abort it. If there are fewer than 5/10 levels until the cap, it will increase it to the cap.

- If your equipment inventory is full, equipment drops will now be generated and auto-sold instead of being discarded or replaced with an item drop, unless it qualified for auto-salvage in which case that will happen instead.

- Stamina is now considered "Great" above 60, and increases stamina drain by 50% rather than 100%.

- Stamina is now considered "Exhausted" if it drops below 1 (used to be 10). You cannot start a new battle if your stamina is below 2.

- Switched HV to use a new refactored core library. This is the first part of the site to use this, so let me know if you encounter any new weirdness.


Post-Update Fixes

- There was an issue where some arenas started before the update became uncompleteable or did not give a trophy bonus, this has been fixed.

- Corrected an issue that prevented titles from being granted.

- The Lvl 400 and Lvl 500 arena bosses were adjusted to have the same bonus health as the dragons when the difficulty health multiplier is factored in. For the ponies, this cuts the health in half.

- The "difficulty boost" health multiplier is no longer applied to boss-type monsters that already have a separate health multiplier. They still receive the damage multiplier. This includes the Level 400 and 500 arena bosses, as well as the "schoolgirls".

- You can no longer start an item world if doing so would bring you below 1 stamina. (This would prevent you from getting anything.)

- An old issue where you could sometimes gain "fake" levels should now actually be fixed. Please let me know if anyone still gets this.

Pfudor + 100% is x40, right? Still too easy imo, as a veteran player at least.
The only issue was the ponies having virtually infinite HP, but beyond that, earlier monsters and SGs weren't even that tanky, and there were no health risks for the whole run.

I would personally remove the forced difficulty and let people choose, and add higher difficulties for the corageous Hentaiversenauts to challenge themselves with.
More than only increasing difficulty multiplier, monster level should surpass 500. That gives a stronger damage and mitigation spike for monsters.

Speaking of which, the new arenas and the ideas that can derive from them are a little bit like the Tower, don't you think? Can we have it eventually on Persistent? Yeah? biggrin.gif


Also, having new Arenas is neat, with a little more difficulty and such.
And they finally reach lv 500.
But what about RoB?
We should have a final Lv 500 RoB.
That would cost, like, 30 Blood Tokens to enter, and would basically be all the RoBs in a row one after the other, with added difficulty like +25% difficulty mod every round, and more elite monsters appearing every round.

Example of 8 rounds:
Round 1/8: PFUDOR + 025% - Konata + Manbearpig + Rhaegal
Round 2/8: PFUDOR + 050% - Mikuru Asahina + White Bunneh + Rhaegal + Viserion
Round 3/8: PFUDOR + 075% - Ryouko Asakura + Mithra + The 3 Dragons
Round 4/8: PFUDOR + 100% - Yuki Nagato + Dalek + The 3 Dragons + Yggdrasil
Round 5/8: PFUDOR + 125% - Real Life + Konata + The 3 Dragons + Yggdrasil + Skuld
Round 6/8: PFUDOR + 150% - Invisible Pink Unicorn + Random Schoolgirl besides Konata + The 3 Dragons + Yggdrasil + Skuld + Verdandi
Round 7/8: PFUDOR + 175% - Flying Spaghetti Monster + 2 Random Schoolgirls besides Konata + The 3 Dragons + Goddess Trio
Round 8/8: PFUDOR + 200% - Goddess Trio + The 3 Dragons + Real Life + Invisible Pink Unicorn + Flying Spaghetti Monster
(all 8 rounds would have a chance to drop a token each, for 30 blood token cost, would be only fair tongue.gif)

First time to see an update since I started to play this game. Great to see this update. A few opinions about some possible future changes (I am still noob player so my suggestions are probably not good but that's what I feel if I want to make this game better)

1. Currently some prefix and suffix are never used, so almost everyone is looking for the same style (ethereal rapier of slaughter for 1H, staff of destruction, charge/radiant of cloth/phase of EDB for mage etc). Maybe we can buff some never used prefix and suffix so that people can choose between different style. For example currently supportive is never used, so equips with earth-walker means trash, so if we add some unique buff to supportive magic that will only be unlocked in supportive style to make supportive style playable?

Anyway, hope this game will be better and better.

See the Suggestions thread for feedback that isn't specifically about something that changed in this update.

As far as I know, equipment changes aren't planned to happen again for a very long time (if ever)... but there are a few mechanics planned for the future that might be able to make use of currently undervalued stats.

I never felt I HAD to clear them, just that they (and random encounters) were the fastest way to get a few credits to buy a few GP and get back to fapping, lol. But shorter arenas are good, I tried dance with dragons once and never bothered again, it just took too long.

I think this version worse than older version

More difficult arena, less Trophies and less Credits.

We couldn't change difficulty on High level arena,

We couldn't play the low level arena.

I hope that we can choose which difficulty we want to play, we can choose which arena we want to play.

I am not satisfied of the new arena mainly because i prefer a fast gamplay over a tanky one, so kill monster faster over having to hit them a lot of times, but i undretand that this is just likings.

But one thing i ha to say, i am a bit disappinted in the overall drop rate of the new arenas, i understand the new extra arena clear bonus but the normal rounds are quite meh, with the same running time as the previous three top arenas those two give quite less.

I think it need some monor tweaking.

That said it is surely an huge good job done to add some extras.

Here is an FYI about the Post-Game Content arena since the Arena page on the wiki has not been updated yet. There is at least one SG in every round except for the last. I am sure the trophy farmers will be happy. For the rest of us, the reduced number of available non-SG arenas is not much of a problem for most of the year. However, the Easter hunt is going to be more time consuming.

With my build it was pretty easy to clear tower floors though, no pressure basically like doing item world. Could probably have cleared up to floor 100 with my current level and equipment, just would have taken a lot of time. A day or two for each floor.

Does this mean Tenboro was benevolent and decided to apply the less rigorous standards to season 1 results?

Consumption of Stamina (All Arenas)

Before (with stamina < 80):

1264 rounds x 0,02 stamina per round = 25,28 stamina

Current (with stamina < 60):

945 rounds x 0,04 stamina per round = 37,80 stamina

As you can observe, now consumption is much larger, and can not be covered with the use of only 1 Energy Drink (with Long Gone Before Daylight). sad.gif

Could it be possible to return to what was before, that is, 0,02?

Or, at the worst of the hypotheses, 0,03?

As others have said, I liked the early Arenas for a short trip down memory lane, since I'm not one of the ones that can sit and play HV 24/7. RIP.

"Post-Game Content" was doable, though tedious, and the final round the mobs just seemed like they just wouldn't go down. Got a couple of junk auto-salvage Mags, 50k but hey at least it took me under an hour (much shorter than how long things were taking before I got a usable void weapon in Isekai)

Then I got to "Secret Pony Level":

My Leg Slaughter set and heavily forged weapon with max strikes felt like having a needle to bring down a T Rex...every round. Every SG. And the last round? Prepostorous. Actually got one-shotted (or at least my defenses seemed to just happen to let through things all at once - I wouldn't doubt that) at near full health and if not for spark I would have probably went all Portland Oregon.

Also I noticed how I suddenly started taking much more dmg from any enemy offensive action when there were only a couple left, even with full debuffs, and I didn't see anything in the battle script, so there is some kind of hidden Trio and the Tree thing going on there just when it seems like you're all set.

I thought I had a sure kill on the last mob with OFC with PA and IMP, and it only did like 5% - it was enough to make me actually use scan for like the first time in 8 years right after since I was like, "how is this thing still alive?"

For a few auto-salvage junk Mags (incredibly I got 3 superiors in the final round), 50k, and almost 120 minutes, I'm glad I'm not doing these again. Fans of Grindfest out there? This is for you - it just feels like it never ends. I can't imagine how long 150 rounds would have been like.

I'd say the only positive take-away is being able to use "Fuzz O' Draw" or whatever that skill is called that you couldn't before because the achievement title you were granted with it actually made you weaker and maybe I'm crazy but I don't play a game to max level to end up being weaker when I get there.

Man I miss that Gamepro video game scoring graphics they had with the faces - anybody remember them? That would come in handy right about now.

What happened to the Arena? But I don't want to have to play 25 fully monstered rounds to check off the 'did a fight, you're done, go back to reading' daily .01 stat point notch.
What was Tenboro's reason for this? If my goal is to only kill a few monsters (to get the light of a new dawn) then knock off for the day, then isn't this change the one full of the multiple pages of irrelevant monsters?
He's the benevolent dungeon master, but this takes the easier path away from some players. Less risk, less reward, but one I was fine with.
