The event has now finished. Everyone who handed in at least one full set of hoarded items were awarded a Vaccine Certificate (Tier 8 trophy). Additionally, and even if you didn't hand in a full set, you were also granted a Shrine Fortune (Tier 7 trophy) for every unique hoarded item you handed in.

Note that the Shrine Fortunes are not tradable, but the Vaccine Certificate is. This is intentional.

The monster virus is still running wild, and Snowflake has gathered all the top science moogles to develop a cure. The strain has been found to be similar to a disease that swept the precursor civilization in ages past, so in order to aid their research, they want to you to go out and look for vials of precursor vaccines for analysis.

Vaccine vials will drop randomly in battle; drop rates increase with higher difficulties. (They only drop on Persistent.)

The event ends on Monday, April 5th at 23:59:59 UTC. You should hand in your findings at Snowflake's Shine by then to qualify for the event's grand prize.

I just got a yellow vaccine vial and didn't find anything about it on the wiki so came around here to ask, looks like this answers me already.

Does the battle type matter? Will some colors only drop in Item World for example?

I legitimately forgot about Easter Hunt this year and I just had a red Vaccine Vial pop up in Arena.

RoB should share the arena drop pool as far as I know, but there's just a very tiny chance you'll get one there since there's so few monsters for them to drop from.

All these years and I don't think I've ever gotten a precursor artifact out of Blood. Rarest drop I ever got was 2 precursors on a random encounter while going through galleries.

No, but what works for me is to collect a full set and then shrine one of each type consecutively before the event ends. That way I know I did not miss any by accident.

My 'trick' has long been to simply have a text file open and keep track that way. (This file has been used to track other things about HV, currently for my rare play sessions it just gets used for Easter and tracking for when the extra crystal perks pay for themselves.)

Also, does anyone have a rough idea what the drop rate is? Roughly the same as artifacts?

As I recall, it's the same as artifacts with max archaeologist at each difficulty level (so it should be around 8.8 per 1000 rounds on PFUDOR), but don't quote me on that.

Is the reward given for the first and only set of 7 different vials or is the reward given every set of 7 ? If it's only for the first one, might as well sell all extra vials and "rebuy" Prercursor Artifacts since they're cheaper and give 2 hath instead of 1, unless I'm missing something.

You only need to submit 1 of each to get the trophy at the end of the event, shrining more won't give you any extra
