First. You are in the wrong place. This is a subforum for discussing how to do things (how to scan, how to translate, how to edit), not a subforum to ask others to scan stuff. But.
Two. Please notice we have a subforum dedicated to posting requests. It reads: "
Requests and Bounties Here you can make requests of various natures. If you're looking for something in particular, or if you're trying to identify a certain work this is where you should post. REQUESTS MUST ALL GO HERE, NO EXCEPTIONS!" You are welcome to post your scam request there. (Translation requests should instead go to the
Translation Requests subforum, doh.) But expect to be ignored because why should anyone scan or translate something you want instead of what they want? Read on.
Three. If you really want to do something other than pointlessly begging others to scan or translate stuff, here is what you can realistically do.
To get stuff scanned:
It's easy to move from leecher to sharer if you have a credit card. With real world spending power you can acquire digital dojins and CG sets from [
www.dlsite.com]
DLsite (they have decent English version) or [
gumroad.com]
http://gumroad.com/ (that one is more common among non-Japanese artists, I think). You can use [
doujinrepublic.com]
https://doujinrepublic.com/ to look for paper books, they too have a good English page, but they have high commissions, so it is best to use them to simply confirm the book is offered somewhere, then get a better deal using Japanese sites like [
www.suruga-ya.jp]
suraga-ya, [
www.melonbooks.co.jp]
melonbooks, [
www.mandarake.co.jp]
https://www.mandarake.co.jp/ or [
www.toranoana.jp]
toranoana which is where the doujinrepublic orders stuff from anyway :> Other sites you can order from: [
alice-books.com]
http://alice-books.com/ , [
booth.pm]
https://booth.pm/en , [
comiczin.jp]
http://comiczin.jp/ . Some stuff is on ebay and such, there are also smaller sites and proxy services like [
goody-japan.com]
http://goody-japan.com/ or [
www.tenso.com]
https://www.tenso.com/ that may help, since a bunch of those JPN sites don't do international shipping and you have to use a middleman.
If that sounds like a hassle, or you just don't have a scanner device, you can use PayPal to commission a scan with an experienced scanner. Quite a few offer their services in our forums; I've personally commissioned scans with
8055 Scanning,
The Tsukuyomi,
Kalevala Scans and
Super Shanko, and many others in the forum have good reputation too (if you want to be added to this list PM me).
Cost: the books themselves are usually cheap (as in, ~2-7$, usually closer to the 2-3, i.e. like a normal book, or a coffee price in a developed country...), but shipping/scanning commissions tend to make the end price ~20$-~50$ (yep...). Most of that extra cost is shipping, and sadly I am not aware of any scanner in Japan active here. See also
this post by SS.
For details and cost comparisons, you can check commissions/etc. in scanner threads:
8055 Scanning,
The Tsukuyomi,
Kalevala Scans and
Super Shanko. Out of those I now work with 8055, SS, andd TT (formely SXIndy27) because Kalevala is pretty bad at both replying to PMs and can take much longer to scan stuff. (Also IIRC Kalevala lost one of my books and didn't want to refund it - through he was scanning for no commission, so there's that).
As far as I can tell, the commission costs (as of June 2019) are:
* SS: $7 flat fee + $.55c/page (doujin) or $.30/page (tanks). Scans are at 600dpi
* 8055: <90 Pages - $.30/page (300dpi) <90 Pages - $.40/page (600dpi) >90 Pages - $.35/page (300dpi) >90 Pages - $.45/page (600dpi)
* TT: $10 flat free for each 10 books and then $2 per doujin / $3 per tankoubon/artbook . Scans are at 600dp
Overall, I find SS to be fastest, 8055 to provide the best updates/clear explanations of all costs, and TT is the cheapest :>
Even if you don't have real $$$ you can still use our
bounty system to put up bounties asking people to scan stuff for you. Of course, bounties can wait months or even years before someone fulfills them, so be patient. The higher your bounty, of course, the less time you should have to wait. You can grind hath and credits to add to bounties through H@H, hentaiverse, donations, or fulfilling bounties.
To get stuff translated:
Just like with scans, you can commission scans with a number of groups using real $$$. (If you want your group listed here, PM me).
Or you can use the bounty system to put up bounties for the stuff you want to see translated.
You can also learn how to edit (easier than learning how to translate, IMHO), join a scanlation group and work on the 'I edit your translation, you translate something I want' basis.
Good luck
