that's nothing. heavy grinders with a bit of knowledge and gears may go up to lv400 in the same amount of time...

Yep but I saw that GP cost is about half the Credit cost...
Or at least, I tested it on a gallery I downloaded some time ago.
It was 8000~9000 (8000-something) Credits worth for DL...around 4000 GP now.

I realized it some time ago, when a gallery didn't have a torrent.
Before that I never had a single GP, since I wasn't posting on the forums

Edit: okay wiki says 1:1 Credits:GP...but it seems not

nono, afaik GP's download power equals C's.
that double thing is probably due to the fact that it was an old gallery that needed to be repacked and such. not even GS escape that - we have a certain amount of free downloads daily, but we still have to pay if a gallery is an old one. it should be stated in that same wiki page iirc

What the "Option to change display name" obtained from the gold star could change is the ① part in the 2nd picture, not the ② part. Notice that your shown name in eh galleries is also changed.
Gotta wait for a year for a next change

The purpose of anyone playing HV should be making yourself happy and satisfied, not makeing yourself rage/sad/feel you are useless by comparing to other people.
Can be applied to every game.

Don't feel afraid/shy of asking question or purchasing/selling gear in the forums.
Just tell yourself "Forum people are already used to see random newbies asking questions and stuff".
Can be applied generally to everything you do for the first time in your life.

If I remember it right, - you can change this "newcomer" or "Regular Poster" (in my case) whatever you want via special from in your account management but only when you hit some special amount of posts. There should be explanation in wiki, but I am lazy to check
Edit, have found it:
Q - I can't change my member title!
A - This is only possible for users with 100+ posts.

As F4tal said, custom title is for everyone with 100+ posts.
Custom name is for GS, but you're limited at one change per year.
By the way, your nick is cool enough like this I'd say, don't bother yourself about it
