We are looking for editors!

We have alot of scans, but barely anyone working on editing them.

If you want to work with us and has shown that you can edit and clean
raws, you will get to choose what doujins you want to work on from our
scan archives.

Either show us any previous work you have edited or you can use
some of the examples below to show that you are able.

Scantastic is a distributor of raw scans. In attempt to get some of those raws
published to the public, were looking for talented cleaners or editors to spread
out the workload.

We have a focused collection of loli and some scat doujins/tanks/mags, but
there might be some more normal stuff waiting to be released too.

Since we want to be sure youre just not interested in getting the raws and then
just leave with it, weve made some tests for you to show us that youre serious.
If you pass one or more of these tests and youve shown youre good enough, you
will be given a raw. You will then have full ownership of the raw, you can upload
it directly to g.e-hentai and we wont mind it. However you've then closed the door
of receiving any more raws from us. We should be a team of people that can follow
simple rules like that.

If you follow the procedures of our workflow, another bonus for your work is
that you also will be offered to upload it for whatever reward that will give
you, with bounties and all that. Note that if multiple people worked on it,
a cleaner will be favored over an editor for the uploading.

so let us know if you're interested!

Our current scanners have too much doujins at hand, so we need more scanners
to help them out. PM Sahasrahla if you want to know more.

We will pay all expenses for the commissions and you are free to publish the
scans yourself. We only want highres, uncontrasted and uncropped raws from
the scans in return. If you don't feel like doing the work to crop it and release it,
we can do that for you, if you want.

Cleaners

Cleaning up a raw is a time consuming task. But it can also be a tricky one. There
are basicly five different categories that you can choose to do to show us your
skills. You don't need to do all of them, but if you only want to do one of them,
i suggest cleaning dusts. But if you do more of them, it'll let us know how much
work youre capable of doing.

Note that many of these tests are failed scans that later has been rescanned, or
scans thats been tempered with be better show us your skill. Its not the actual
quality of the raws.

Dust cleaning

Probably the easiest, but most time consuming one. Cleaning all small specks of
dusts or hair thats invisible to the naked eye, but appears when scanned. Probably
what we need most people of, and that it should be most people able to do.

Shade Removal

When a doujin isnt debound when scanned, a shade might appear near the edge
of a scanned page. Its tricky to get this removed and still not getting it look worse
than it was when beginning the removal.

Bleed Removal

Some scans might have optical-bleeding or ink-bleeding since the pages are just
too thin. Removing this effect can be hard if theres alot of detail in the area
of the bleeding.

Rip Removal

Accidents happen, and a page could get ripped when scanning it. Or it is a second-
hand doujin and the previous owner wasn't that careful with it. These repairs are
very rare, but its a good way to show your skills.

All cleaning should be done in the same resolution as youve received them, with no
cropping, no turning of the pages, no levelling and as png-files. Basicly they
should be returned exactly the same as you received them, but with the difference
that it has been cleaned.

Upload your work with a password to a site where it can be downloaded and approved.
A private gallery on E-Hentai works too. If its approved, and you want to upload it
to E-hentai, you will just wait for the editing to complete, then you will get the
edited version with a credits page to put at the end of the gallery and you are
free to upload it. Otherwise we can upload it for you.



Editors

Make sure you dont make any of the mistakes described in the editing tips here.

The resolution of the edits should preferably be around 100% of the raw. But if you
need to scale down, it should at least be 75% of the original resolution.

A private gallery on E-Hentai works too. If it is approved, and you want to upload
it to E-hentai, you will get a credits page top put at the end of the gallery and
you are free to upload it. Otherwise we can upload it for you.

I just saw that you released (266) a manga from Otokawa Kazuki(Pirates Patrol) and I wondered if you had more from him? On his pixiv page I can see about 5-6 more that I never managed to find. Would it be possible to do more from him?

yes, there is a couple of his in the queue. Don't expect it anytime soon, though.

I've been wondering, you guys don't happen to take commissions or suggestions do you?

I'd buy the book myself instantly cause there's like one copy available, but those Japanese sites don't exactly make it easy for foreigners to buy.

We do take suggestions. If it is a good looking doujin with interesting content we will get it when the next order is put up. No guarantees but no cost, so just say what you would like to get and we will let you know if we are gonna try to obtain and scan it or not.

Edit: If you really want to do commissions, ask our scanners directly instead. They might be up for it.

just wanted to say you guys are doing god's work with all the ohigebons

used your scans to get a translation of the two persona 4 doujins based on chie, should be ready by next week. ohigetan is surprisingly easy to wipe the text from. Gonna upload textless versions of the chie doujins, leaving the credits page in place, obviously. Honestly feels like I might be shitting on your group since the wiped text isn't 100% perfect, and you guys are quality as fuck.

It was obtained for scanning, but the scanner who got it unfortunately stopped scanning.

Getting a new copy would be possible but the remaining scanners have their hands full, so getting something for a rescan is lower prio. We are not gonna get this scanned in a near future, but it is not impossible we might, later if we either get more scanners working with us or current ones get done with current doujins.

Also, there is alot of work editing ra's work since they have many merges and need alot of cleanup since his artwork is so dark and all the dust is very visible, and we still have noone helping with either cleaning or editing.

The download test links give an invalid token error, anyway to get them? I wanna try out and see of i can do some of these stuff

Updated the links with better urls. The old urls appears to have broken after some time passed, these new ones should be more permanent.
