The 4680-type cylindrical battery cells (with a diameter of 46 mm and height of 80 mm) are the largest cylindrical cells used in EVs so far (about five times compared to the 2170-type). Depending on the manufacturer, the height might differ (some other sizes will be 4695 and 46120).

Yeah, I dislike the cyber truck but generally Tesla have the best EV batteries except for some of the cheaper models for China and Australia.


EV fires are crazy though, not just the fire but the toxic gas and heavy metal contamination. We have barely had that many fires and already firefighters have had excessive health issues. Cobalt poisoning has all sorts of terrible health effects.
