In this thread you can request help to either downvote or upvote tags and comments: - Downvotes for any tags that fail basic presence requirements or their definition. - Upvotes for any tags that has been wrongly downvoted, or if you don't have enough moderation power to make the tag searchable. - Downvotes for any abusive comments, this includes things like spam and hate speech.
If you request upvotes for a tag, it is important to clearly state on what images the tag in question can be found on. Don't forget to pinpoint in what namespace the tag you want actions taken on can be found in.
To keep the cleanup work flow as easy as possible, avoid lengthly discussion in this thread. If you want to discuss something, make a post here instead.
Thanks for helping out! This post was updated 2014-08, to better reflect what the thread is now used for.-Binglo

As for version 0.11, it would be great if one could vote down his own tags, without getting points for the toplist of course. It's annoying to misspell something and then seeing how you can't do anything about it.

Also on my list of random minor stuff to fix.

If you compare the list of the Top Posters on the forum to the list of the Top Taggers, does it seem like there's a lot of top taggers that don't post that much or am I just being paranoid?

Yeah, I know. I meant it seemed like there was a few taggers who were lesser known as far as posting goes.

Are you talking about the daily or the all time top tagger? I'm not that long around, but I don't see anything suspicious about the first. And beeing amongst the latter is currently not that hard to do, so I wouldn't mind if that person is posting or not (#25 -> 6 points)

I can see the point though, we've built this little community through the site as a whole. We get to know on another in our limited way and then we look at the various toplists (not just tagging) and wonder who these people are. On the forums we're looking for people who aren't just here for the porn. The forum is where the fun is at. Honk, you're new and from what I've seen you're starting to integrate yourself into the community as a whole. How that goes is up to you and/or anybody who tries to chase you off should it come to that. Don't worry, only the idiots and very easily offended get chased off.

I'm not complaining, sure it'd be nice but it's a porn site in the end. In other ways it's nice with less active posters because it's a more intimate (so to speak) atmosphere. You don't get the cliquish attitudes that form on larger forums. I admit I was only here for porn at first and now I'm on the forum more than anything else. I tag while I browse.

Mhh hmm, it's nice and intimate on this site.
As long as we're on a somewhat related subject, does searching search the text of description too?

QUOTE(Tenboro @ Mar 10 2008, 17:51) Some people choose to contribute without joining the active community. That's fine, really. Of course, it'd be nice if more of the 35000 or so (as of this writing) daily visitors to the main site and galleries would join the 300 or so active forum members, but hey, who am I to complain. Just as long as the dozen or so regular forum members that really only go to the main site to get xp don't have to change their habits I'm good, which reminds me, can we get xp put into the forum too?

Maybe when I get around to writing my own forum software. Which may or may not happen.

Since we're all here talking about galleries and stuff, I have a suggestion/RFC thing. I think we ought to have some sort of 'curators' for our galleries to get rid of low-quality dupes. When browsing, I discovered that someone had uploaded a very low quality copy of several Namaka doujinshi. On closer inspection, they seem to have been uploaded at least five times. Frequently, the people uploading dupes aren't active on the forums, so there's no guarantee that we can even get in touch with them to let them know what's up. I suppose that this is fairly minor, but I would prefer to have in general just one highest-quality version of any doujin on the galleries. All right, that's it. Discuss.

Yeah I think as a was tagging in the last couple of days I've come across two or three that were not only dupes, but had been uploaded on consecutive days. I mean at least check what was uploaded yesterday.

It may very well become possible to vote galleries off the main page, but there would be an option for people to display them anyway. It may get worked into my additions for 0.11, but that one's still some ways off.

I was trying to tag a gallery and I was voting up a tag and it told me I already had. I had not voted on it yet or entered it. It did this on a couple of galleries. I also noticed that some of the tags were turning blue or green.
